Lee Hillam was born in South West NSW and educated at the University of NSW. She has worked for Richard LePlastrier Architect and then for Jeffrey Broadfield as a carpenter before setting up Workshop 1 Pty Ltd with Ashley Dunn in 2001. Lee teaches first year design studio in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Sydney.
